I will make the most of this experience to China by learning about the culture, the food, and taking lots of pictures. Their culture will be very different from ours over here. The way their buildings are not skyscrapers, reaching over hundred feet tall, but rather being designed to look spectacular and one of a kind instead of being just tall. The food will be really different in China. One way to get the most out of this experience is to try new things. I will have to try some new food to get the full experience of what people eat in China and how they eat the food. The best way to get the most out of this great experience is to take lots and lots of pictures. They say a picture says a thousand words, and then I am going to have over a million words to say for my photos. There will be so many things that I can not wait to take pictures of over there, like the Great Wall of China, different amazing buildings and the beautiful landscapes that covers China. I also want to learn more about the people that I am going to China with and the people there.

  1. Hi Nicholas,

I share a lot of your passion for travel and for the act of DOCUMENTING your travels through photos. This is a wonderful way to capture the sites that amaze you, as well as capture the people you see and the people with whom you travel. I encourage you not only to take photos, but to document your journey by journaling as well. I have often returned from a trip with hundreds of beautiful photos and I cannot always recall what I meant to capture in the photo. An easy way to do this is simply keeping an itinerary of what you do each day. Write down the date and the places you visited. Then, when you look back at the photos you can use the dates to remind you of where you were and what you saw that day.
You brought up another aspect of learning that happens when you travel which is learning about the people you travel with. I truly believe traveling is the BEST way to test a relationship. If you can survive traveling with a friend or partner, then this person will probably be in your life for a long time. Traveling can be stressful and unexpected and inspiring and it is important that you can share those moments with people as they happen!
I look forward to learning more about you! Keep up the good work...
